Manlift Donates Generator to Al Manzil Centre

Manlift Power has donated a generator to the ‘Al Manzil Centre for Challenged Individuals’ for the summer period. The Manzil Centre provides a highly professional care-giving and learning environment for individuals with special needs. The establishment is based in the city of Sharjah (UAE) which has once again been plagued by numerous power cuts reminiscent of the major outages experienced throughout August and September of 2009. Due to the power cuts, the Al Manzil Centre became hot, humid and hazardous with no cooling or lighting. When Manlift employees heard how the children’s schedules had been disrupted and how the conditions were causing them discomfort, they swiftly deployed a 200kVA Ingersoll-Rand generator set to power the centre’s facilities. Ayesha Saeed Husaini Managing Director of the Al Manzil Centre remarked; “You cannot imagine what a relief it is to have this generator. Thanks to your (Manlift’s) efficient staff, Manzil can continue to provide services to the students during these sweltering summer months.” This is the second year that Manlift have donated a rental generator to the Al Manzil Centre for the hot season. Adam Ashcroft, Regional Director of Manlift Power, said; “We first heard about the Al Manzil Centre in 2009. It was bought to my attention that they had been affected by the Sharjah power shortage and naturally we contacted the centre to see if Manlift could be of assistance. We evaluated the centres requirements and supplied a 200kVA generator to get them through the summer. Charity centres such as Al Manzil need our support, they provide a fantastic facility for children with special needs and although this requirement stems from unfortunate circumstances, we are honoured to be given another opportunity to help out again this year.”
