Electrification
Manlift provides solutions for working safely and efficiently at height. To better meet customer demands for sustainable solutions Manlift has introduced ground breaking innovations: Converting four aerial work platforms from diesel to battery powered, featuring working heights from 22 to 43 meter. The result: No Emission and a very low noise level making it suitable for indoor use especially. At the same time, the modifications have no impact on the working envelope of the machine so that highest level of productivity of the machine can be guaranteed.
Alternate Fuel
We attach great importance to healthy, happy and motivated employees. This is not only important for us and for the continuity of the company, but also for our employees themselves. Through our Vitality program we work on healthy, fit and happy employees. The range is wide: from sporting events, healthy food at work, health and workplace checks and job coaching to guidance in the event of illness. Through our Manlift academy, we provide our employees with mandatory as well as optional training such as technical knowledge, skills development or full studies opportunities.
AGM Batteries
Manlift continues replacing standard lead acid batteries with (Absorbent Glass Mat) AGM batteries. AGM batteries represent an improvement in battery design for our industry. These batteries utilize a glass mat separator to hold the electrolyte solution, which is absorbed by the mat. This design eliminates the need for a free-flowing electrolyte, making AGM batteries spill-proof and low maintenance. Manlift has replaced more than 300 standard batteries with AGM batteries in 75 MEWPs
Customer Added Value
AGM batteries have a faster recharge capability as they accept a higher charge rate, also low self-discharge rates allow them to last longer. Life span is further improved due to the elimination of the requirement to “top-up” battery electrolyte, hence removing the problem of contaminated battery cells. AGM batteries offer several environmental benefits such as:

Particulate Filters
MANLIFT’s diesel machines can be fitted with a particulate filter that captures and stores harmful particulates produced by the exhaust. This prevents the release of soot (mass of impure carbon particles) and the related black smoke emission. The newer machine types come with a standard particulate filter. All these filters are regularly maintained, timely replaced and properly disposed of.
Customer Added Value
Particulate filters allow customers to use diesel machines in a healthier and more sustainable manner. It significantly decreases the release of toxic emissions and contribute to a healthier air quality on projects and sites. The filters have a very high emission reduction rate which improves customers’ CO2 footprint.
